After a sleep in we decided to do the red bus tour around Dublin. Those tours are the best thing if you don't have much time, or need to get a general overview of the place. We did at least half a dozen on our big adventure.
We ended up at a coffee shop in one of the pedestrian malls, soaking up the midday sun a bit like a nice Brisbane winter's day.
The second part of the red bus tour took us to the Guiness factory, where we spent a very pleasant couple of hours, learning the history of Guiness making and finally sampling the product in the bar at the top. A great view, which is more than I can say about the beer, but I'm probably a voice in the wilderness there!
After doing a fair amount of walking that day, we decided to catch a horse and buggy back to the hotel. Neil especially enjoyed it when his eyes swelled up later!
Back at the hotel, we decided it was time for more drinkies, then somehow Chris and I managed to weave our way up the road and bought fish and chips for lunch/tea It was once again cod and haddock, and much better value than buying fish and chips in Oz.
Went to bed at a reasonable hour as Neil and I had to get up earlyish to catch a bus up to Belfast.
