Cousin Dan had been touring around England, meeting up with relatives, as we had, since our first meeting nearly three weeks before in London. We organised to meet up one last time whilst we were staying in Andover, as the train trip from there was only an hour or so, and with a Network Rail card which cost 28 pounds but could be used on all long distance trains, it was fairly economical.
We met again in the Assembly House in Kentish Town and had a good catch up, comparing travel stories. Dan had managed to meet and fall in love with a French girl on his second day in the UK, so he wasn't looking forward to going back to Canada tomorrow!
From there we walked to the Camden Markets, and bought Richie's presents (T-shirts not available back in Oz). Could have spent more time in Camden - reminds me of old hippie times with its alternative shops and atmosphere. Interestingly where Amy Winehouse lived, and there were reminders of her everywhere, especially the hairstyles on the girls.
In the afternoon we caught the Tube to London Bridge and were persuaded to see the London Bridge Experience - a historical dramatic portrayal of past events surrounding the bridge. It was ok, but not as scary as they would have you believe.
For tea we went to Bill Wyman's Sticky Fingers restaurant in Kensington, just a short Tube ride from London Bridge (ifwe had done it right, only we got off too early and had to walk a couple of kms. Just made Neil more hungry for those famous ribs.)
We caught the Tube to Waterloo, then the train back to Andover at around 9.30, and it was only just dark when Lynda met us at the station at 10.30.
